Streamlining: Maintenance Management

In my never-ending quest to streamline operations, I’ve combined all of my various ‘Property Management type services’ into a single category: Maintenance Management.

This allows me to have one set of rules and operating procedures for the same type of work across multiple property and project types.

So, what is ‘Maintenance Management’?
In short, it’s the process of managing, overseeing, and ensuring proper maintenance is being done, both regularly scheduled, and unscheduled.
This includes the property itself; the grounds and the bounds, as well as the buildings on the property, and all of the stuff inside.
Some of my projects include small agricultural outfits, where there’s a lot of equipment to keep track of, and some of my projects include multi-family residential units where there are many small parts to larger buildings that need to be kept track of.

A few things I add in my service package:
1) I don’t limit myself to just the grounds, or the main building, I look at the entire property as a whole, including all of the parts and pieces that need to be taken care of and looked after.
2) I don’t limit myself to the ‘traditional’. I’ve got clients that are farmers, ranchers, automobile restorers, and other ‘non traditional’ situations.
3) I look after your property as if it’s my own, but I respect your choices and decisions. I’ll always tell you like it is, but I’m not going to insult or belittle you for making a choice different from my own.

The more complicated your situation is, the more valuable it is to have a maintenance manager that understands your needs, and is looking out for you!
