Howdy howdy!
Another busy week making headway, though mostly in the background.
Picking up where we left off, things are moving forward, some a little faster than I expected, but that’s how business works at time, right?
In the Facility Management division all but one facility is working well; the one that needed a camera inspection of the main line has received said camera inspection and now we know the issue is the roots growing into the cast iron pipe outside the house (Oh so many jokes there!) so that’ll need to be repaired.
Generally the best way to repair that is to use a cleaning auger, the same size as the pipe (4″ in this case), cleaned out the inside of the pipe all the way to the sewer connection, and then go through and install a liner inside the pipe instead of digging up the pipe and replacing it.
As always, lots to do there, but that’s why my clients hire me!
In the Carpentry division, the temperatures were all good for getting the concrete patch material to cure, thanks to the ‘ugly boxes’ I built for the heaters to site inside of:

Which gave me great results, smooth and just right so the trim boards fit as close to flush as possible on the rough surface of the brick.

From there I was able to get the new PVC trim pieces installed, and then the roll door seals, but as with most special and custom stuff, a little more adjustment is in order.

Behind the scenes I’m still working on the new software; it’s been a long, slow process but I’m seeing a ‘light at the end of the tunnel’!
